Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut came by appearing in The Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best actress. Can speak French, German, English and Romanian proficiently. Her mother is an accomplished instrument player. The father of the family is an actor and theater professor at one of Romania's leading theatre schools. In 2000, the Romanian Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. She was named European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. Her tenure was four years as professor at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress who was born on the 01st of April, 1978. A performer with Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen with the Canadian-British TV series Sex Traffic for which she took home the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut film the actress is also recognized for her performance in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards including being awarded the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. The actress acted as an actress from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 Two days, 4 months (four months three weeks and two days) in which she was honored with The Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she appeared as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She played Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared as Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, and also in the Romanian comedy Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) the actress played Irma, a German woman who played Emma's aunt.
