Jana Kramer, an actor and singer-songwriter who specializes in country pop music and songwriting gained prominence on TV when she became Alex in the last three seasons of One Tree Hill. The first two albums she made as a country artist were featured on episodes of the show that helped her 2012 eponymous debut album to make it into the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Thirty One (2015), the album which followed in 2015 also made it to into the Top Ten. Her decade ended with appearances on Dancing with the Stars and appearing in a variety of TV shows alongside an assortment of singles that were not album tracks. In 2021, the self-doubting Voices came out. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised there, fell in love with the music of country. Later she would pursue a record career. But her first professional role was acting in the indie horror flick Dead/Undead in 2002, when she was still a teenager. She appeared in guest spots on All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights for the second season of the show 2007-2008. Kramer was in 90210 in 2008-2009 as Portia as well as Brooke Manning before joining One Tree Hill on the CW in 2009. In 2009, she played Alex Dupre. Her appearance on the show until 2012, when the show ended. Jana Kramer Kramer began her career with One Tree Hill in 2011. Her contract was signed for a record label Elektra Records during this time and debuted the country-rock track "I I Won't Let You Go" in one episode. Following a shift to her professional profession in the field of music, Kramer continued to act and was in movies such as Heart of the Country 2013 (which appealed to her fans) or Country Crush 2016 (which would appeal her music fans). In October of 2015, Kramer released thirty One by Warner Music Nashville. It was boosted by Kramer's Top Five country song I Got the Boy and also as a duet with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. The album peaked at third place among the Billboard 200 country charts and at number 10 on the Billboard 200. Starting in September 2016 she stayed for two months on the season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, that ended in fourth place. The singer also had an adult contemporary smash by singing the track Feels Like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
